DIY Spring Valley Pest Control

DIY Pest Control

Spring Valley Hornet Pest Control 400

This is a question I'm constantly asked.

"Can I Do My Own Pest Control in Spring Valley?"

And the answer is (like the answer to so many other things) "It Depends."

First, it depends on the type of infestation you have. There's a big difference between an infestation of ants, for example and an infestation of bedbugs. You can see the ants, and no matter how many there are, their origin is a single nest with a queen. If you're patient, you can lay down ant poison to be taken back to the nest and eventually kill the queen. If there are other nests in the vicinity, you can repeat the process until they are all wiped out. Of course, your Spring Valley pest control company can do it faster and more efficiently, but it's still possible to handle it as a DIY pest control project. See Overrun with Ants? Spring Valley Pest Control: The Flea Life Cycle

By Pest Control Expert | Fleas , Pest Control , Professional Pest Control

Life Cycle

Spring Valley Pest Control Flea Life Cycle

Fleas undergo complete metamorphosis. The life cycle, or stages, of the flea is composed of the egg, larval, pupal and adult stages. Cycle length ranges from several weeks to several months and is largely dependent upon environmental conditions.

Eggs

Fleas lay between four to eight eggs after a meal of your or your pet’s blood, with the highest concentrations of laying occurring within the last few days of the female’s life. Unlike the eggs of some other parasites, flea eggs are not sticky and usually fall to the ground immediately upon being laid. Flea eggs hatch into larvae within one to 12 days, depending on ambient temperature. Your Spring Valley pest control expert is an essential investment in removing all eggs, which can represent up to 50% of your total flea population at any one time.

Fleas and Your Spring Valley Pest Control Contractor

Spring Valley Pest Control Flea

Fleas are democratic. What do we mean by that?

They don’t care whom they bite.

If the Queen of England or the First Lady of the United States has a flea in her knickers, it will as happily bite her on the ass as it will you or me, and that’s just a fact.

Maybe for that reason, most people have more of a horror of fleas than of any other insect.

Spiders don’t count. They’re arachnids, not insects at all. I’ll deal with arachnophobia in another post. Personally, I quite like spiders. Except for the Sydney funnel web. He’s (and yes, unusually for spiders, it’s the male that’s aggressive and dangerous) one serious dude.
